MAKING A CORSAGE

I would like to make a corsage from a ribbon (4cm wide).  Can anyone give me advice on how this can be done?

Would the corsage be made only from the 4 cm wide ribbon?

Yes the corsage is made from a long 4cm wide ribbon intricately folded into the shape of a rose.  I got the idea from a corsage I saw in a department store.  It looked like it had been made by using an origami technique and it was rather nice.  It was quite expensive though.  I thought that as I already have various coloured ribbons, I could perhaps make on myself.

I'll see what I have in my crafty files - I went on line and saw a method of making a simple rose using wired ribbon.
Pull up the ribbon on 1 side only, as you pull up the ribbon 1st 1 side then the other, roll the base tightly to form the rose. Use florist tape to twill round the wires to fom the stalk, the desired length.
