When sewing cushions using a material with a pattern how do I make sure the pattern matches between the cushion plates and the boxing?
Huh

I'm not sure you can expect every place there is a join to pattern match with all other patterns. At least not without a great deal of planning and using a lot more fabric than you would normally. What result are you trying to achieve with this and what type of pattern is it?

It's a fleur-de-lis pattern. The flowers don't allign and somehow it looks wrong...
 Shocked
I wish I had chosen a plain fabric!

When you make cushion covers and are using a floral designed fabric.  Pick the focal point of the design, centralize it on the cushion top and check the effect.
Measure the length and width of the cushion.  Draw a pattern using the measurements. Mark the center and quarter way lines. Allow a 1.5cm seam allowance.
Position the pattern with the center point on the center of the chosen focal point on the fabric. Pin and cut out the pattern.
